My LLM Triumph: A Personal Testimony of God’s Faithfulness in London – Advocate Farooq Bashir Shares How Faith, Prayer, and Divine Connections Turned a Dream into Reality
By Advocate Farooq Bashir November 7, 2025 – London, UK
A Day I Will Never Forget – November 7, 2025
Today is one of the greatest days of my life.
I, Advocate Farooq Bashir, stand in awe and thanksgiving as I officially pass my LLM degree from BPP University, London with excellence. This is not just a certificate. This is a miracle. This is God’s answer to years of prayer, waiting, and trusting.
And I want to share my testimony with you – not to boast in myself, but to praise the Lord Jesus Christ, who opened doors no man could open, and to encourage every believer in Pakistan and beyond: Never give up. Trust God with all your heart. His plan is perfect.

My Roots: From Lahore Courts to a Burning Dream
I completed my LLB in Lahore, Pakistan, and for years, I practiced law with passion. I fought cases, stood before judges, and defended clients – many from the Christian community facing injustice. I was content. I had a family, a career, and responsibilities. Life was full.
But deep inside, there was a dream I never let die – to study in London, UK, to earn my LLM, and one day qualify as a barrister/Solicitor. I wanted to come back stronger, sharper, and more equipped to defend the persecuted, to be a voice for the voiceless, especially for my brothers and sisters in Christ who are ignored, falsely accused, and silenced for decades.
I knew Rev. Dr. Naeem Nasir for many years. I had visited the Good Samaritan Church headquarters long ago and seen with my own eyes his unmatched love for Christian youth. No church in Pakistan was doing what they were doing – education, empowerment, church planting, legal aid. I attended their headquarters branch when I could, though work, travel, and family kept me irregular.
Little did I know – God was preparing a divine appointment.

The Phone Call That Changed Everything – 2023
One day in 2023, I had a long, detailed call with Rev. Dr. Naeem Nasir. We talked about ministry, law, and the struggles of Christians in Pakistan. Then, out of nowhere, he said:
“Farooq, why don’t you come to the UK? Do your LLM. Become a Christian barrister. Serve the persecuted. Be the voice they’ve never had.”
My heart stopped. This was my dream spoken aloud – by a man of God who barely knew how deep it went.
He didn’t stop there. He said: “I will help you financially.” His words were the tip of the iceberg.
After receiving a call from Rev Dr Naeem Nasir, I discussed the opportunity with my family especially my father, who always encouraged me from my childhood, he paid special attention towards my education and it was his dream that his son should become Lawyer, and my father also assured me that he will invest his savings for my higher education in United Kingdom. I then spoke with my elder brother, Jairus Ben Jesus, who assured me of his moral and financial support. Throughout my journey from Lahore to the UK, my father Bashir Masih, Rev Dr Naeem Nasir, and my elder brother Jairus Ben Jesus, stood by me as constant sources of strength, encouragement and on top of it, they opened their heart financially for my education. I give all glory to God for my LLM success at BPP University London. What once seemed impossible became possible through His grace and the steadfast support of these remarkable individuals. Their faith, generosity, and prayers sustained me through every challenge. I offer my heartfelt gratitude and pray that God blesses them abundantly for their love, faith, and commitment.
I started preparation for my IELTS Exam,
And guess what? I scored higher bands than required – by the grace of God.
Then came the biggest mountain: finances. Studying in the UK is expensive. Tuition, living costs, travel – it was beyond my reach.
But God moved.
- My father gave his all savings,
- Rev. Dr. Naeem Nasir paid what he promised – from the church,
- and my brother Jairus also opened his heart financially.
- Some dear friends gave sacrificially.
- Others prayed without ceasing.
Then – another miracle – my UK Study Visa was approved quickly and smoothly. No delays. No rejections. Just favor.
On September 2024, I landed at London Heathrow. And there, waiting for me with a smile, was Rev. Dr. Naeem Nasir.
I cried. My dream was now reality.

Life at BPP University: Challenges, Grace, and Growth
London was beautiful – but hard.
- New culture
- Intense studies
- Homesickness
- Deadlines
- Exams in English legal systems I had only read about
There were nights I wanted to quit. But I remembered: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart…” (Proverbs 3:5).
I prayed. I fasted. I called my family & friends. I messaged Rev. Dr. Nasir. And God showed up – again and again.
- I understood complex modules like magic.
- I made friends who became family.
Every challenge became a testimony of God’s presence.
Today – November 7, 2025: Joy from the Lord
Today, I received my results. I passed with excellence.
My heart is full of thanksgiving. This joy is not from man – it is from the Lord.
I thank:
- God Almighty – for grace, mercy, and miracles.
- Rev. Dr. Naeem Nasir, my family, especially my father, and my elder brother Jairus Ben Jesus – they are my mentors and sponsors. Without them, this would be impossible.
- Jairus Ben Jesus – my elder brother helped me a lot financially.
- Good Samaritan Church of Pakistan – for believing in education and justice.
- My family – for supporting me from 7,000 miles away.
- My friends – who gave, prayed, and cheered.
- You – for reading this and being part of God’s family.
My Message to You: Never Take Shortcuts – Trust God Fully
This journey was not easy. The biggest battle was finances. But I never lied. I never cheated. I never took shortcuts.
The best thing you can do is trust God with all your heart.
Wait for His perfect timing. He will connect you with the right people – like He connected me with Rev. Dr. Naeem Nasir.
Whether you’re:
- A student dreaming of higher studies
- A pastor planting a church
- A believer facing persecution
- A parent praying for your child
God sees you. He has a plan. Hold on.
My Future: Returning as a Barrister for Christ
Soon in future, I will return to Pakistan – not just as Advocate Farooq Bashir, but as a UK-trained barrister.
I will:
- Defend the falsely accused
- Fight for church land rights
- Train young Christian lawyers
- Stand with church planters so new fellowships can grow without fear
- Be a voice for the Brick Kiln workers, the blasphemy victims, the forgotten
This LLM is not the end – it’s the beginning.
Thank You, my God, for Your grace and mercy. You opened doors no man could. You provided when I had nothing. All glory to Jesus Christ!
To everyone reading this on www.churchplantinginpakistan.com – Your dream is not too big for God. Keep trusting. Keep praying. Keep serving.
One day, you will share your testimony too.
With love and gratitude, Advocate Farooq Bashir LLM (BPP University, London) Future Barrister for the Persecuted Church in Pakistan
